My survey on 10+2 in India
- Quality education is available in metro city like Kathmandu, etc where the cost of education and cost of living is high.
- Lack of exposure about competitive exams and opportunities beyond studies.
- Student's tendency to get runied by city glitter and maximum freedom with the spoilt brats around.
The trend in India is to persue any PUC (Pre University College) as they call it for Intermediate course as a secondary option and all they concentrate for 2 years on the entrance preparation by joining coaching centers. One of the popular choices being Kota, Rajasthan. Students prepare for 2 years for entrance, get a good first division or distinction in PUC and secure a seat in entrance exams for professional course like Engineering / Medicine in first or more attempts. so, here again, I will contradict with the trend in Nepal and recommend to admit your ward in a good coaching institution and let him write 10+2 exam on self preparation, so that on completion of 2yrs, though he may not have secured a 90-95 % in marks, but his chances of clearing an entrance exam is high.
There is one more catch to where to admit ward to. The student should be able to compete in Nepal entrance tests as well as India's entrance tests. IIT-JEE and AIEEE being the top entrance test for engineering and similarly, AIIMS and AIPMT being the top entrance exam for medical for the natian wide premier colleges. Then comes the state level entrance tests, with certain local quota for state students. This is the catch one can think of.
CBSE schools for 10+2:

"Kendriya Vidalaya" has a delivers a good quality of education, but one needs to appear for the entrance exam on scheduled time. But, they have boarding facility.
"DPS - Delhi Public School" and many "International School(s)"is costly, but if can be affoarded good.
"DAV" is costly but may be affordable.

Coaching Institutions for entrance preparation and/or 10+2:
--------------------------------------------------------------
Kota, Rajasthan has been a popular choice for this. There must more than lakh of students and 100's of schools and coaching centers (famous among them is, Bansal for Engineering and Allen for Medical). Other coaching centers being Aakash, Resonance, Narayana, Time, CareerPoint, etc.) Students get admission in these coaching centers and a CBSE school which provide no attendance facility (maybe once in a week, student has to report to the school). They join a PG (paying guest) for accomodation and food and study at the coaching institute.
In Andra Pradesh, Sri Chaitanya and Narayana is a chain of coaching institutions / juinor college for engineering / medical preparations in Andra Pradesh. Students join some PUC (intermediate) class and prepare for competitive entrance exams here. Narayana has good recognition for preparation for engineering entrance exams where as Sri Chaitanya has good recognition for medical entrance prepartations. Recently Sri Chaitanya, Vizag (Visakhapatnam) has permission for CBSE 10+2 board and they prepare students for entrance and classroom course at their Vizag branch with boarding facilities.

well first i need to convince myself that i got to do it... and following to that, first i shud play text based on generic algorithm... and in the second method with limited database, it will play pre-recorded speech words... and so far that for speecg recognition, maybe i should look it for authentication in first place and will take it later... finally for the advanced user interface, i ll think of gesture recognition and face recognition.

I almost lost my .....
On the way back, this stupid car stopped all of sudden and i happened to bang my bike on the car. It so happened that, this fellow did apply break, and so did I, next he accelerated and so did I... but all of sudden, in less than a sec, he applied brake and i got no time to react... hitting into the car.
I had a high impact on my body coz of the big fuel tank of the Fazer.... for almost 2 minutes, i could not bear the pain, i just got down of the vehicle (did not switch it off even) and sat on the ground and pointed towards the car to stop... i took me few minutes to get up and walk... i had almost lost my *****
the mud-guard of my bike was broken.... binayak had been talking with the car... it seems, another bike came suddenly infront of him and he had to apply break. I could not see fault with him either... and binayak drove me back to room... much later i felt pain in my knee and some scratches on my body....
We canceled plan of going anywhere... cooked at room... and the day past as usual.
Lesson of the day: "MAINTAIN ENOUGH DISTANCE FROM A VEHICLE AHEAD WHILE DRIVING".

Chandrayaan-1 Mission Sequence
11/3/08
Chandrayaan-1 spacecraft would be launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, SHAR, Sriharikota by PSLV-XL (PSLV-C11) in an highly elliptical initial orbit (IO) with perigee (nearest point to the Earth) of about 257 km and an apogee (farthest point from the Earth) of about 22,858 km.
· After a few revolutions in the initial orbit, the spacecraft's Liquid Apogee Motor (LAM) firing would be done, when the spacecraft is near perigee, to raise the apogees to 37,421 km and 73,925 km respectively.
· Subsequently, the LAM is fired to take the Chandrayaan-1 spacecraft to extremely high elliptical orbit with apogees 199,277 km and 269,201 km. Later the spacecraft would be raised to an orbit with 1,019 km perigee and 386,194 km apogee.
· Once the Chandrayaan-1 spacecraft reaches the vicinity of the Moon, the spacecraft is slowed down sufficiently so as to enable the gravity of the moon capture it into an elliptical orbit (LC). After a careful and detailed observation the height of the spacecraft's orbit will be finally lowered to its intended 100 km circular polar orbit. Following this, the Moon Impact Probe (MIP) would be ejected from Chandrayaan-1 to impact on the lunar surface. Afterwards, all the scientific instruments/payloads are commissioned sequentially and Chandrayaan-1 spacecraft explores the Moon with its array of instruments for two years.
Oct 2008: Chandrayaan-I launched successfully
Source : http://www.broadband.indiatimes.com
SRIHARIKOTA: Chandrayaan-1, India's maiden moon spacecraft, was on Wednesday put into Transfer Orbit around the earth by the Polar Launch Vehicle Chandrayaan-I launch
Chandrayaan-I has been launched from Sriharikota.
PSLV-C11 about 19 minutes after it blasted off from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre here. The 1,380 kg Chandrayaan-1, carrying 11 payloads, was released into a Tansfer Orbit at a perigee (nearest point to earth) of about 250 km and apogee (farthest point from the earth) of about 23,000 km, 18.2 minutes after the PSLV-C11 blasted off as the scientists broke into jubilation at the mission control centre.
After a series of procedures over the next two weeks, the spacecraft would reach its desired Lunar orbit and placed at a height of 100 km from the Lunar surface, marking the operational phase of the mission which would put India in the elite lunar club.
Earlier, at the end of the 49-hour countdown, the 44.4 meter tall four-stage PSLV-11 lifted off from the second launch pad into a cloudy sky. This is the 14th flight of ISRO's workhorse PSLV, which had launched 29 satellites into a variety of orbits since 1993, and 13th successive one in a row.
Chandrayaan-1 is carrying 11 payloads, five entirely designed and developed in India, three from European Space Agency, one from Bulgaria and two from US, which would explore the Moon over the next two years

Mahatma Gandhi's talisman
Mahatma Gandhi (2 October 1869 – 30 Jan 1948)
“I will give you a talisman. Whenever you are in doubt, or when the self becomes too much with you, apply the following test. Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man whom you may have seen, and ask yourself, if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him. Will he gain anything by it? Will it restore him to a control over his own life and destiny ? In other words, will it lead to Swaraj (i.e. self-rule) for the hungry and spiritually starving millions ?
Then you will find your doubts and your self melting away.”

Exploring the nature.
This is an article penned down based on memories and fantasies during my childhood.
Invention is not possible unless there is imagination. Imagination, strong determination and contribution put together leads to invention. The Hindu philosophy and epic has contributed the whole world through its par imagination since thousand years back. We have lots of illustrations e.g. ‘Pushpak-Biman’ that Ravana had according to Ramayana has been made to exist today. Durodhana (Mahabharat) knew the technique to remain inside water. Vishma (Mahabharat) could bring rain, and used his weapons (arrows) to destroy the enemy. Traces of dynamite particles are still found in certain parts of Kurukshetra. The examples continue.
All those imaginations or super-natural power have been proved scientifically to exist today. Nowadays we find the off-country and off-continent people showing keen interest in Hindu epics. It is not only for holy attitude but also for knowledge. We don’t give it much importance but the geniuses of western countries are getting success to prove the illustrations in real life by their strong determination and contribution.
E=mc2, the renowned equation of Einstein was based on complete theory which has been practically proved today, if not at least being used in the calculations of nuclear fusion/fission. The power of disappearing and reappear in any distant place just in an instant of time can be made possible in near future. I have a proposal depending upon inter-conversion of mass and energy. In order to disappear, one’s body should be converted into energy and travel with the speed of light to reach the destination. At this instant, the energy should be converted back to mass.
We have many illustrations of changing life age. I have a scientific example heard from somewhere. Once a scientist working on celestial bodies fell in love with his assistant but the age difference between them was 25 years. But their love was genuine, so he then arranged for a space shuttle and occupied the shuttle which was launched. He then continued his research on some distant green planet which was revolving with quite higher speed than earth. After some calculated time according to that planet, he came back to Earth. This time span was 20 years according to Earth’s time while just 2 months according to the distant planet. He had an effect on his body due to those distant celestial bodies and grew older just by 2 months while his lover at his laboratory on Earth grew older by 20 years. Then they married. This illustration is just a proposed theory and even Einstein’s theory supports this by what he called ‘slow time high speed’.
History is evidence whenever something has been imagined; it was proved to be true; maybe in a longer duration of time. We have not been able to use even 5% of minds capacity properly and when we will achieve this, just one can think of, how advanced we could be? Don’t we hear of super-natural things now and then in our daily life? Though science does not believe it or accept it; at the same time, it has never in position to deny it. Events like telepathy, reincarnation, existence of soul, love, sub-conscious mind, effects of meditation (kundalini saktiyah), recurring dream, blessings, miracle, hypnosis, flexibility, alertness, accidental discovery, etc are not something that can be ignored or science can explain those.
There are many such topics that come to my mind when I am in peaceful, lonely environment and there’s none to disturb. And maybe those who practice meditation may have experience that they reach another state of their mind when deeply involved in meditation and at this moment, one can achieve whatever he thinks of. Many a times, it happens that what you think of, the other guy also thinks of same; and even sometimes we are able to communicate through waves of thought or something like that. There are people who claim that telepathy exists in reality. Can anyone tell the purpose of our birth on this world? And the most disgusting thing is one takes birth, has to through general stages of growth, gains knowledge and dies before completion of their research. And the new generation has to start the work from scratch. Doesn’t it seem to killing of one time and bringing an infinite postponement on any particular research? And what about general people, who just take birth, struggle for life, earn money and simply pass their life. What’s the use of such birth? Well, no-one knows the answer but the one of the sole aim might be exploring Nature with different views. Nature has been boon though sometimes comes up with calamities but all this is to maintain balance. Nature loves symmetry and is the only supreme.

Few words on open source
Last weekend, IEEE student's club organized it and i happened to attend the lecture by Raju Alluri from Sun Microsys... few things i would like to mention are:
The age has been changing from Industrial to information to participation age and this is where the open source has come into light and is of great importance when the intellectual level among users are developing and they no more want to depend fully onto vendors, instead every community want to give some contribution and at user level, they want to reconfigure the softwares as per their need and understand the actual functionality rather than a black box. Yeah of course, only the intelligent minds can participate here, but then that makes a difference. You don't need to pay huge amount to the vendor and their monopoly will be controlled as well as the updates too will be at your reach and for free. All you need to do is, join a good forum and start discussion. Now something might be revolving in your mind. I will tell you, if u have missed it, what bout professional ethics in response to open-source. Well it has many advantage than very few back points.
Sun believes in 1 dollar/cpu/hr expenditure. They came up not only with SPARC processor but as well as huge memory server technologies as well. ZFS (pronounced as G file system) is a hybrid data server and uses some 24 Terra bytes of cpu but still it use compression technique. You might be thinking that this might make the speed slower as compressing-decompressing technique while write-read operation, but this is not the truth. I will tell u how? The memory size has increased from few kilobytes to terrabytes within a decade and so has the CPU clock speed increased to 3.2GHz, but the rpm of secondary device reader has hardly leaped upto 7200 rpm. So whenever a read write operation is performed, the cpu has to wait a long time retrieving the data or writing it, in searching proper track and sector. This wait state is efficiently used for compressing-decompressing the data.
The containers provide the privilege of customizing the the sharing of data capability and putting restrictions among different processes running parallel. The SPARC processors are better than dual core INTEL concept, infact they came ahead with this idea much earlier. Group of each two cores form a cache and finally a ROM. The predictive self heating and cool threading techniques used are simply great.
What will u do, if a person suffers from a disease? Will u kill him, let him born and grow again and keep checking his status and cure? so stupid right?? Then why do u keep restarting your system whenever it gets halted? Think of a system which would never need to restart, it should be able to handle any kind of interrupt or traps or deadlocks. The answer is study, keep yourself update and go for open-source. You will need when and what is happening. You have everything in your hand to take care of.
The need of autonomy has so tremendously increased. Lets take an example of cars, the BMW technology will continuously monitor onto the condition of car, which will have inbuilt sensors and that will constantly keep communicating wid the vendor. Any problem like fuel viscosity, or if u get struck into deep forest or lonely place, they will come to know round the clock time and without your request or call, they will send rescue team for such persons. Alas technology, too good. This is what can been said the information age.
Sun has open work programming environment i.e. u can work for the company by logging onto any system and anywhere with some kind of chip provided to every employee. They are less than 50% of Sun's employee who come to office and work, rest follow this. Sun concentrates on academic initiative program and they have brand ambassadors at different leading institutes. Now what can u do? Logon to Sun's site, take up byte-sized bugs. Solve them, make proper documentation or snapshots. Contribute to them as well as same thing can be practiced for the open source. Post to ur blog and communicate to others as well.
Contact mr Raju at: raju.alluri@sun.com or askraju@spurthi.com. He has been wid Sun for more than 15 years and is a senior engineer. He is a blogger and enthusiastic open-source contributor. He is greatly inspired by the book "The seven habits of highly effective people". He suggests to read the 8th habit, a book from the same writer. I suggest a book "You can win" by shiv khera, really an inspiring book on building up positive attitude. He says, "Winners don't do different things, they do things differently."
