Website can b hosted on www.bravehost.com (you will ads in the top row, followed by your website) where you can upload your webpages files and you will get a www.yoursite.bravehost.com which you can open from anywhere.
eg: www.ecea.bravehost.com
The other way is create your site on but there are certain restrictions here... as you have to use the template provided by google itself, but there won't be any ads.
eg: www.karnamit.googlepages.com
Now you can open an account in www.freedomain.co.nr and this allows you to forward any website as www.yousite.co.nr to your website... it is kind of routing [.co.nr ---> yoursite ].
eg. www.ecea.co.nr --> www.ecea.bravehost.com
www.amit-karna.co.nr --> www.karnamit.googlepages.com
You can download templates, just try google search. You can make modifications or create your own site and host on bravehost, if ads doesn't matter or use googlepages thier template will do. For downloads from ur site, you can upload large files on your googlepages account and provide link on your bravehost site.
LET ME KNOW YOUR SITE ONCE YOU HAVE HOSTED.
