C-DoT arranged Mysore trip for new RE. We were supposed to start early but somehow we left by 8am from Bangalore. 24 out 47 members did come for the trip and it was real fun. We went to different places and returned the same day and it was dead night around 2am when i reached my room... thanks to the bus driver, he left at the door step of room.

Tipu Sultan's Tomb: Its one of the historical place and who has not heard of Tipu Sultan, one of the greatest emperor of India. The shawl-covered tombs of (on the west) Tipu Sultan, (centre) his father, Haidar Ali, and (on the east) his mother, Fakhr un-Nissa, in the mausoleum at Gumbaz, Sringapatam.
Most of us also had horse ride for the first time over there and "Ranjhor ka thakur" from "Janne tu ya janne na" movie ka 3 sarte hame yaad aa rahein the... abhi tak toh thoda bahut fight kiya hain... bas tisra sart jail jane ka baki reh gaya.
Then after we proceeded to "Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens". Its well managed and as soon as we entered, we saw the long necked giraffe for the first time. They have a good collection of birds. We also saw White tiger, Chimpanzee, African Elephant, azgar and everything that is there at zoo.
After having lunch, we went for Chamundi Hills, where Mahisasur was killed by the Goddess according to Hindu mythology. In the way to Temple on the hill, the road to Kathmandu was flashing in my mind. They have well fenced the road on the sides, a good safety measure. I was enjoying the view of Mysore city from the hills... it was awesome... after temple we also went to see NANDI, its really huge, the biggest structure of Nandi, i had ever seen before.
When we reached "Mysore Palace" the most famous place of Mysore, it was already 5pm and we went running and just had glance view of the palace... its very huge and the craft and carvings are worth watching... we should have taken a little more time.... I also bought sandal soap there as one of my friend had suggested. Mysore is also know as silk city. Silk and Sandal (Chandan) is cheap over there.
Finally it was 7pm when we reached "Brindavan Gardens", one of the most happening place of Mysore. We straightway went to Musical Fountain.... awesome... simply great!! there were countless people over there... Chintan, my colleague showed his photography skills with his sophisticated camera in capturing those lightings and water sprays... me, Sandeep, and Chintan got involved into this and didn't while others left to see the remaining parts of the garden. We started from there at 8.30pm, had dinner in the way and finally reached room at the dead of night...
Thanks to the weather, it was cool... normally its cool here at B'lore and Mysore, but for the past 1 week, it used to be quite sunny... and also thanks to weather as it didn't rain... which is also very frequent here... but i would call it shower rather than rain... B'lore is the best place to stay in terms of weather... and placed around are worth watching... in B'lore we can just enjoy the city glitter, shopping multiplexes and similar things.
Thanks to C-DoT for the tour and for those who missed the trip, i recommend them to visit Mysore!
